Tratado de Governação Pública não se circunscreve a uma abordagem meramente jurídica do fenómeno, antes correspondendo a um esforço de resposta multidisciplinar que cruza os saberes da Gestão Pública, da Sociologia das Organizações, da Psicologia das Organizações, da Gestão de Recursos Humanos, da Ciência Política e da Ciência da Administração. Este primeiro Volume do Tratado de Governação Pública pretende enquadrar o conceito moderno de governação, bem como fixar os parâmetros essenciais que norteiam a boa governação.
Mais procede a uma análise comparativa dos principais modelos governativos, reconhecendo que a globalização das políticas exige uma nova abordagem, mais colaborativa e criativa.
Destina-se a todos os que são agentes de governação (governantes, autarcas, dirigentes, técnicos superiores da administração pública e funcionários públicos), mas também a todos os investigadores, interessados e curiosos acerca do fenómeno político e governativo.
